Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande-Butera (/,a:ri'a:n@ 'gra:ndeI/ AR -ee-AH-n@ GRAHN-day, [note 1] born June 26 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her distinctive use of the whistle register and four-octave voice range is well-respected by media and critics. Grande has won many awards throughout her career, including two Grammy Awards and one Brit Award. She also received three American Music Awards, three Billboard Music Awards and nine MTV Video Music Awards.
Grande started her career in music at the age of 15 in the year 2008's Broadway musical 13. Her role as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious (2010-2013) as well as Sam & Cat (2013) was her first big hit. After viewing YouTube videos of Grande performing songs, Republic Records signed Grande in the year 2011. The US Billboard 200 topped Grande's 1950s R&B-influenced pop and R&B debut album, [2] Yours Truly (2013). The single "The Way" made it to the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. Grande's voice and whistle register on the album immediately drew comparisons to Mariah Carey.
In her third and fourth studio albums My Everything (2014), and Dangerous Woman (2016), she continued to explore pop and R&B. My Everything was an experiment in EDM. Its songs "Problem", Break Free, as well as "Bang Bang" were a global hit. Dangerous Woman was her first number-one album in the UK. Her personal struggles have influenced her trap-infused fourth and fifth studio albums, Sweetener (2018) and Thank U, Next (2019), both of which were commercial and critical successes. Sweetener was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. Thank U Next broke the record for largest streaming week for pop albums and was nominated as Album of the Year. The songs "Thank U, Next", "7 Rings", and "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" created Grande the first solo artist to hold the top three spots on the Hot 100 simultaneously and the first female to be able to compete at the top of the UK Singles Chart. Grande's collaborations for 2020 with Justin Bieber ("Stuck with U") and Lady Gaga's "Rain on Me" each earned her the Grammy Award as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Grande's sixth studio album Positions (2020), focused her attention on trap music. Both the album and its title track reached number one in the UK. Grande collaborated with The Weeknd to remix "Save Your Tears" and became her sixth US top-ranked single.
