Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actress from Sweden. Her roles were in a number of films as well as European and American. She is mostly known for her work in the comedy drama film 'La Dolce Vita'. It was a huge critical and commercial hit, as well receiving an Oscar at Cannes Film Festival 1960. The actress was born in Skane and began her career as model prior to embarking on an acting career. Then she won the Miss Sweden contest. When she moved to the US she was able to act in a variety of films, playing small parts. Her first credited role was in the movie "Abbott and Co. Go to Mars", in which she was a Venusian guard. Following her appearance in the film 'Blood Alley and 'Blood Alley,' she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising young actor.' Her films included numerous productions, including the American/Italian War drama film War and Peace, the Western "Valerie," the British crime adventure film The Man Inside and the Italian/French drama The Dam on the Yellow River.' In the year 2015, she died when she was an 83 year old.
