Charissa Thompson
Thompson left FOX Sports in 2010 and did double duty as host of both Versus as well as Yahoo Sports. Thompson hosted Versus' NHL coverage in the studio as well as produced video content for Yahoo's traffic-driven platform. Thompson was in charge of the website's presence at major sporting events such as the 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. Its success in these two arenas led her to being hired by ESPN as one of its hosts for the new evening program called "Numbers Never lie," beginning in August of 2011. In July 2012 she changed to the popular "SportsNation," enjoying a successful run that lasted until it was cancelled by the network. go back to Los Angeles for the launch of FS1 in May of 2013. Thompson is a huge sporting fan but is proving her versatility for her to transition into the entertainment industry. In June 2014, following various part-time roles Thompson was hired as a permanent co-host to the Hollywood nightly newsmagazine "Extra". In this capacity she recorded shows at Universal Studios while also staffing the awards show and other celeb occasions on a regular basis.
