Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a singer, writer, director and producer. Her most well-known role was Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also written as well as directed and appeared in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 1977. Her younger sister is Danielle Benson, who has a career as an artist. Her father, Benson's was Jewish as was her mother was a Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Benson was raised in Alabama and went to the Reform community in Alabama.
