Taylor

Taylor Swift was a rarity in the world of pop music: she was the sole celebrity who transitioned from the traditional to the mainstream, and to become a global pop culture icon. Swift has shed her roots in the country as if she was shedding skins for second purposes revealing herself to be one of the best pop singers and songwriters in her generation. Swift is able to harness the current zeitgeist and create her own. Swift's first hits, particularly her neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her skills. But her 2008 album Fearless revealed a songwriter who was re-discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. Fearless was a huge success worldwide and not just in the United States (where it received as platinum six times for Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia as well as the U.K. and many other countries. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous popularity and launched the singer into superstardom. The popularity of Swift only grew with her following three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) and Reputation in 2017 which saw her move into a pop realm that she had already been a part of. It was not long before she changed her strategy by releasing 2020's streamlined the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed in the forefront of pop culture.
