Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were the two youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss, born July 23, 1971 is an American singer and musician. She started in the industry in her early years, as she was just 10 years old. The year 1985 saw her signing by Rounder Records. Her first solo album debuted in 1987. She was a part of the group which she continues to perform, Alison Krauss Union Station. The group released their debut album in 1989.
